About Us Our Gift Shop Products Locations Home

In woodshop our group of kids shape and create different crafts for the Kid's Corner gift shop.

We also enjoy making items to custom order.

We meet every Monday to make something out of wood. Mr. Michael Delnero teaches us

how to use a variety of tools. Below are pictures of some of these tools.

Jason, Bobby, and Sarah are working on the drill press.  This was the first tool we learned how to use.

Josh is sanding a hanger on the balloon sander.  The sander is used to save time and helps finish sand the project.

Nathaniel is using a belt sander, which smoothes large flat surfaces.

The  thickness planer is used to mill wood to the desired dimension.  Ethan is "catching" and Becca is "pitching."

The hand drill is one of our most-used tools, helping us to drill holes and drive screws.

Drew is sanding out band saw marks using the spindle sander. This tool has a variety of different size drums, making it versatile on a wide range of projects.

Bobby is cutting out sport coasters

 on the band saw.

Josh and Nathaniel are gluing together three boards, which will become an end table top.  They are using clamps to hold the boards together while the glue dries.
