This Early American styled banjo clock was built by Mike Delnero in 1978. Just 17 years old at the time,
designing this clock proved to be the easiest part of this banjo clock. There were many "firsts" in this
project. "I wanted to built it without Dad's help." I remember sitting in the shop for hours (should have
paid more attention in math class!) trying to figure out the angles of the 8 pieces in the top and bottom
sections. Inlays in the top and bottom sections, and the center section's 5 degree angles also proved challenging.
After much perseverance, (and a good sized pile of scrapes from mistakes) I had successfully built my first banjo clock.
